Popular American Bike-maker Harley Davidson might exit the Indian Market in coming months as the company is not meeting enough profitability in the Indian Market.

Harley to shift it's focus to Major Markets
The Higher Level management has decided to shift it's focus from different countries to limited countries. The main cause behind this is only that the company is not getting enough ROI (Return on Investment) or is unable to generate Profitability.
The Bike-maker has decided to shift itself to a total of 50 markets. North America, Europe and other parts of Asia Pacific are included in it.
The Recent Poor Sales Figure
In the April 2019 - March 2020 (last fiscal year) the American manufacturer sold 2500 units of Harley in India while the export figures stood at 2100 units. To get a better perspective, when put against the global sales figure of 2,10,000 goes onto tell that their performance has not really been encouraging.
The April-June period witnessed a decline of 87% to a discouraging 106 units. The exports meanwhile have sunk by 40%, dropping to 229 units. From a Automotive Industry's Perspective it doesn't earn enough pace in the market.
Writer's Take - Ayush Awasthi
It is really a shocking news for the Harley fans and Personally my love for harley is limited but yes, it was fun when i firstly drove it. But from the Business POV, the firm has to survive it's existance and for that it is choosing the limited market setup.
